I Miss

I miss the sound of a typewriter
Manual or electric
Clacking, clicking, clacking, DING!

I miss winding the alarm clock at night
That bedside reminder of time
Set in motion by a spring.

I miss turning the knob on the television
Changing channels by hand
Instead of that remote control thing.

I miss Blatz, Schlitz, Old Milwaukee
Altes, Hamm’s and PBR
But mostly I miss ZING!
